Hi, I’m Kaylee.

I love to take photos! I’ve been carrying around a camera for as long as I can remember. I’m the friend who brought my tiny digital camera to the park or running around the neighborhood in middle school. Obsessed with flowers, sunsets, animals and my friends’ beautiful faces, I’m inspired to capture it all— not for anyone else, but for myself, although I love sharing photos afterwards.

I’m from Santa Cruz, California, and the steadiness of waves forming and crashing there follows me around now like it’s a part of my biology. I like to anchor myself in the present moment, feeling it all. Taking photos with me will look and feel like being your full, unfiltered self— your light will shine through you like the sun. And we’ll keep it casual, cool, fun, easy.

Right now, I live in Boulder, CO and I’m most interested in providing personal portraits as well as couples portraits. I’d also love to work with brands looking for an update in their authentic digital, visual presence.

  • I remember my first paying client— a friend of a friend looking for cheap high school graduation photos in 2015. I’d just graduated from high school myself. We found ourselves in a glowing field at golden hour along Santa Cruz’s ocean cliffs in Wilder Ranch State Park.

    I spent far too many hours perfectly editing over 30 images for her (shortly before I learned of presets). She paid me $20 in $1 bills. That was 10 years ago and where my learning began.

    Since then I’m done everything from grad photos to baby showers, headshots to weddings. I took a break from charging to reconnect with my love for the art 2020-2022, when I discovered my natural passion for climbing photography.

    Since then, I’ve focused exclusively on outdoor portrait sessions as well as partnering with brands like Arc’teryx, Spice Tribe, Party On, and Growing Up in Santa Cruz Magazine.

    1-2 locations · Up to two outfits

    A more spacious session for storytelling, movement, and getting into flow

    All sessions include:

    • Pre-session planning and style guidance

    • A curated online gallery of high-res edited images

    • Download + full personal use rights

    • Complementary option for Human Design chart reading(s)

  • Travel outside of Boulder:

    The first 25 miles from Boulder, CO are included. For anything beyond that, a travel fee applies:

    • 26–50 miles: +$50

    • 51–100 miles: +$100

    • Over 100 miles: Let's chat about details — I’m open to adventure!

  • Something about climbing photography especially lights me up— for that reason, my rates are different for climbing photo opportunities.

    I love fixed line photography. Whether you’re sending your proj or just want pictures with your crew at your favorite crag, I’m here to capture the experience for you.
